One of the main attractions in Counter-Strike 2 is the pick'em challenge that takes place during major tournaments. The Shanghai Major was quite unpredictable, and now we have data to back that up.
The service leetify released statistics showing that only 0.6% of players received the Shanghai Major Diamond Coin. To earn this achievement, players had to correctly predict 5 out of 10 matches in the two Swiss stages, as well as correctly predict the outcomes of at least two quarterfinals, one semifinal, and the champion.
Many players struggled during the Opening Stage and Elimination Stage, because, for example, very few could predict the 3-0 sweep of The MongolZ in the second stage. The Playoff Stage also threw some surprises, as few believed in Team Spirit, with more people predicting Team Vitality, The MongolZ, or G2 Esports.
Interestingly, the majors in Rio and Copenhagen were even less predictable—only 0.1% of all participants received the Diamond Coin there. However, in Antwerp, over 10% of players managed to achieve the maximum result.
