In the second half of March, all Counter-Strike fans are keeping their eyes on Denmark and Portugal, where BLAST Open Spring 2025 is underway—a tournament featuring a stacked lineup of teams.

The group stage follows a familiar format: two groups of eight teams, double-elimination brackets, with three teams advancing to the playoffs—the winners’ final teams and the lower bracket winner. Now, we’re down to eight teams, and tomorrow, two more will be eliminated.

Group A was extremely competitive—at least five teams deserved a playoff spot, but only three could advance. The most intense match was MOUZ vs. Team Spirit, where it took 47 rounds on the final map to determine a winner. Now, MOUZ and Team Vitality will battle for a direct semifinal spot, while the loser will face the winner of Team Spirit vs. Virtus.pro—the defeated team in that matchup will be eliminated tomorrow.

In Group B, Eternal Fire has been a standout—the Turkish squad secured two big wins and will now face Natus Vincere for a semifinal spot. Meanwhile, the lower bracket final is set to be intense: G2 Esports vs. The MongolZ, with only one team moving on to Lisbon.

The last group stage matches will be played on Monday, after which teams will have three days for rest, media activities, and travel. The BLAST Open Spring champion will be crowned on March 30.
