After Team Falcons failed to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, it became evident that roster changes were inevitable — and sooner rather than later. There had been significant rumors about s1mple teaming up with NiKo, but it now seems that the chances of that happening have dwindled to almost zero.

The organization has officially announced that it will not extend s1mple's loan and has also benched three players from the main roster. Only Magisk, arguably the standout performer for Falcons in Shanghai, will remain with the team. Meanwhile, Dupreeh, Maden, and Snappi are set to continue their careers elsewhere.

Why does this matter? Team Falcons is currently one of the most financially capable organizations in the esports ecosystem. In theory, their management has the resources to build virtually any roster they want, provided it can win. This was why they brought in zonic, the legendary coach from Astralis' golden era.

Now, however, the future direction of Team Falcons is entirely unclear. With four open roster spots, the team’s decisions could shake up the entire transfer market. The ripple effects might involve multiple organizations and create significant movement across the Counter-Strike scene.

Unfortunately, with the year nearing its end, it’s unlikely we’ll see any official announcements before early 2025. For now, the CS community can only speculate on what’s next for Falcons and who might fill these pivotal roles.
