April was a silent month for all Counter-Strike 2 fans. Valve employees were having a good time in Hawaii, so there hadn't been any big updates. Today, the CS2 developers decided to bring a brand new concept: weekly missions.

Seven days, one simple mission (for example, win 15 rounds in Competitive on Ancient) and a bonus XP reward. You may ask what impact this change has. We'll answer: for hardcore players this might help in farming Service Medals, but otherwise there is little meaning. However, for casual players, who love to play for a couple of hours a week, this might be the difference maker, as it will help earn weekly rewards more efficiently.
Perhaps, the biggest change in this update is the introduction of five new community-made maps:
- Jura
- Grail
- Agency
- Dogtown
- Brewery
They will be for quite some time in the game, as this is not the first rotation of the community maps. It was also rumoured that a new version of Cache should officially appear in the game, but maybe Valve has bigger plans for it.
