Riot Games has announced changes to the Valorant Champions Tour for 2025. A video overview of the key points has been posted on YouTube.

The main change for next year is the extension of the primary competitive season: instead of seven months, it will now last ten — only November and December are out. The semi-professional Challengers league will kick off in October of this year. Participants in the international franchised leagues will be able to open an academy roster in Challengers, but it will be impossible for the academies to promote. Yet, the teams will have the opportunity to grow talents.

Changes will also be made to the formats of international Valorant tournaments, mainly aimed at increasing the number of participants. For example, the Kickoff event in January will feature 12 teams in each region (instead of 11), and eight rosters, rather than six, will qualify for the playoffs of the regular splits.

As for the Major tournaments, one of them will occur in Bangkok, the other in Toronto. The Valorant world champion will be crowned in Paris.
