If you liked the latest Ubisoft game about Japan, then this piece of news is for you! Update 1.0.4 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows will drop on May 6. Unsurprisingly, this will be the first big content update, and it brings in fresh side quests, a new story arc, and plenty of improvements.

The main highlight is a new storyline called The Works of Luis Frois. Both playable characters, Naoe and Yasuke, will meet the historical figure Luis Frois during a mission at the Jesuit outpost in Azuchi. Players will help him recover lost writings, protect Lady Satoko, and dig deeper into the mysterious world of the Jesuits.

But these missions are not the only addition. Now, all allies and enemies the player encounters will have their biographies added to the character database, giving players more background and lore to dive into.

Ubisoft has also made various bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. Depending on the platform, the download size will range between 4 and 20 GB.

Ubisoft previously confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive regular updates and new content throughout its first year.
