On January 10, 2024, the developers of the action-strategy game Minecraft Legends released the final content update for the game. In the update named Snow vs Snouts, an additional combat style was introduced, allowing for effective long-range destruction of bases.
The studios Mojang and Blackbird Interactive announced that no more content updates would be released for Minecraft Legends. The developers will continue to provide technical support to players. The authors of Minecraft Legends will not remove any features from the game, so cooperative mode and PvP battles will remain.
The developers of Minecraft Legends thanked the community members for their interest and numerous feedback, which helped to improve the game.
Since the launch, we have listened to community feedback and made a number of changes and adjustments to make the game better. After this, we are planning to take a step back from development.
Minecraft Legends was released on April 18, 2023, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Thus, content support for the game ended in less than 9 months after its release, but not without reason.
Despite releasing numerous updates and content fixes, Minecraft Legends failed to capture the community's attention. Almost immediately after its release, the project acquired only a minor player base.
