Bend Studio has shared new details about the upcoming release of Days Gone Remastered, scheduled for April 25 on PlayStation 5 and PC. Aiming to leverage current-gen hardware, the developers revealed two performance modes for PS5 users:

  • Performance Mode – 1440p resolution targeting 60 FPS
  • Quality Mode – Native 4K resolution at 30 FPS
  • Third mode with 40 FPS support will be introduced through a future update.

Alongside upgraded resolutions, the remastered edition brings a range of visual and gameplay enhancements. Atmospheric simulation has been overhauled, now incorporating ozone and spectral light effects. Nighttime visuals will be notably darker, and screen space indirect lighting and ambient occlusion effects have been upgraded. Shadow map resolution has also been doubled for better clarity, accompanied by several additional improvements to the overall presentation.

The PC version now includes DualSense haptic feedback support, expanded accessibility features, improved world graphics, and the same advanced atmospheric simulation as the console release. Shadow rendering has also been upgraded when set to the highest quality.

Players who own the PC version can also purchase the Broken Road Expansion for $10 USD, which adds:

  • Horde Assault, an arcade survival mode
  • Permadeath Mode
  • Speedrun Mode
  • An improved Photo Mode
