Recently, users discovered new information about the upcoming Iron Man game by EA Motive in the studio's latest job listings. It became clear that the game will feature large open-world locations (which makes sense, given who you’ll be playing as).

Today, an insider shared additional details about the game on Reddit, which they claim to have learned from one of the game's testers. They also stated that they are ready to provide moderators with proof if necessary.

  • The game is still in early development, and its release is at least 2 years away;
  • EA does not plan to include microtransactions in the game;
  • Side quests are similar to Marvel's Spider-Man—speed trials, horde mode, hacking mini-games, etc.;
  • Ground combat resembles the Batman Arkham series;
  • A crafting system where you can create new abilities using parts;
  • The game will feature many suits;
  • Flight mechanics are similar to Anthem;
  • The game will have an open world, but the insider has heard there will also be linear levels;
  • Iron Man will be able to fly and use ranged attacks at any time. Once the adrenaline meter (or its equivalent) is filled, the hero can perform finishers, just like Spider-Man.

According to the insider, the combat system currently doesn’t look too impressive. However, the developers still have plenty of time before the game’s release to refine it.
