Capcom has released a trailer for the next fighter to join the second season of Street Fighter 6 — Mai Shiranui from the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series. At the beginning of the video, the character performs a fiery fan dance before elegantly dealing with an attack from several ninjas.

Players can acquire Mai either for free with the Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass or purchase her separately using in-game currency. She will become available early next year.

Interestingly, along with the teaser, the developers decided to playfully troll their legendary colleague, Super Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai. Fans previously requested Sakurai to add Mai to his platform fighter, but he famously declined, stating that Super Smash Bros. is "for good boys and girls." In the trailer description, Capcom cheekily called Mai "the good girl." Touché!

For the second season characters, Capcom had already announced Terry Bogard, who is also from the Fatal Fury fighting series, as well as M. Bison — the hero of the Take Down The Giant Bison event, which runs until December 16. The final fighter to be introduced will be Elena, who will be added next spring.
