Fighting games are known to be arguably the hardest esports genre. It takes much more dedication to get good at fighting games compared to MOBA or FPS (we're not saying that the latter are easy, it is that the former are more difficult). Studying frames, ability to make decision in a very short time, lots of possible combinations to take into account.

The latest trend in the fighting game genres are AI-ghosts and replay takeover. Both of these features exist, for example, in Tekken 8 where they became huge success. Now, Capcom also adds them to Street Fighter 6. Replay Takeover and Virtual Rival will arrive with Terry Bogard this September.

Replay Takeover is a very useful feature that allows you to pause the replay and replay the following events. Imagine that your opponent played a non-trivial combo. How can you block it? Sometimes it is very hard to replicate moves, and to do it consistently would waste lots of effort. With Replay Takeover you may immediately start thinking of counterplay.

Virtual Rival is an analogue of Ghosts in Tekken 8. AI helps to build opponents based on the gathered data, and it may be very useful to look into your own habits and find your weaknesses by playing against your virtual self.

These two features should greatly influence players, so many of them will learn faster and better.
