Code Violet, the upcoming action horror game being hailed as the spiritual heir to Dino Crisis, has released a new gameplay preview. Running on the PlayStation 5, the 20-minute video features tense exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat with both small and colossal prehistoric beasts.

The video begins with the lead character navigating a dimly lit, derelict facility. As she moves deeper, she encounters scurrying dinosaur enemies and overcomes simple puzzles scattered throughout the complex. The game's eerie tone is emphasized through tight corridors and ambient sound design that keeps the tension high.

Later, larger creatures begin to surface, forcing the protagonist to rely on firearms to survive. In one surreal sequence, the environment suddenly shifts from scientific gloom to a mystical chamber filled with statues—this transition is quick and disorienting, almost dreamlike.

Although a truly massive dinosaur makes an appearance near the end, players aren’t yet able to engage it in battle. The gameplay also reveals an inventory system reminiscent of classic survival horror titles like Resident Evil. Overall, Code Violet seems to offer a nostalgic horror experience with a modern twist.
