Paradox has unveiled the first details of the upcoming Crusader Kings 3 expansion focused on nomadic rulers. The DLC will introduce a unique governance system for nomadic people, along with a new currency named "herd," which will dictate the ruler's authority. This currency will also impact various gameplay elements, including military strength, cavalry composition, lord-subject relations, and other key features.
Naturally, nomadic chieftains couldn’t maintain their lifestyle without constant relocation. Their movements will be influenced by different factors: they may either negotiate with local populations or force them out of their lands.
Moreover, rulers will have access to special yurts that they can transport, akin to adventurers. These yurts can be enhanced with new components that provide various benefits.
This DLC will also feature iconic yurt towns, which nomadic kings will carry with them, similar to adventurers. Like adventurer camps, these settlements can be upgraded to include additional structures serving diverse functions.
