Paradox Interactive has shared an overview of upcoming content for Crusader Kings III set to unfold throughout 2025 as part of Chapter IV. This chapter emphasizes Asian expansion, introducing fresh mechanics and regions to explore.
Kicking things off is the recently released cosmetic DLC Crowns of the World This small yet stylish pack offers six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, giving players more options to personalize their rulers.
On April 28, the first major DLC, Khans of the Steppe will debut, allowing players to command the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you’ll lead a nomadic horde, conquering lands and establishing dominance over neighboring territories.
Following this, Coronations will introduce a ceremonial mechanic where players can legitimize their reign through grand coronation events. These ceremonies involve hosting extravagant festivities, making solemn vows, and deciding the path of your kingdom. New advisor and vassal events will also enhance political interactions. Slated for release in Q3 (July–September), this DLC adds depth to royal succession.
The chapter concludes with All Under Heaven a massive expansion arriving later this year. It features the entire East Asian map, including detailed depictions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands, providing players with vast new territories to explore and conquer.
In between DLC releases, Paradox will issue patches to refine game systems and AI behavior. Developers are actively seeking player input to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session taking place on March 26.
