Devolver Digital has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 9 million copies sold of its games on the Nintendo Switch. According to the company’s 2024 financial report, the hybrid console has become Devolver’s most popular platform, solidifying its importance to the publisher’s success. The company has also expressed strong intentions to continue supporting Nintendo’s ecosystem, including the upcoming Switch 2, with highly anticipated releases like STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions, Human Fall Flat 2, and Enter the Gungeon 2.

The financial results revealed a 13% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching $104.8 million. This growth was fueled by the enduring popularity of key titles, a strong back catalog, and improved terms in platform agreements. Devolver’s gross margin climbed to 28.7%, aided by reduced marketing expenses, while operational costs remained steady, driving greater profitability. Additionally, the company is strategically focusing on smaller-budget projects, which has lowered average development costs for third-party games while maintaining quality and innovation.

Among the standout successes highlighted in the report, Astroneer has captivated over 13 million players globally and continues to foster an active and passionate community. Meanwhile, Enter the Gungeon surpassed 5 million copies sold, with an impressive 500,000 units sold in March 2025 alone, proving the game’s lasting appeal.

Looking forward, Devolver Digital has ambitious plans for 2025, including the release of at least 13 new games. Titles like Starseeker, developed by System Era Softworks, are already generating buzz, alongside several unannounced projects. These efforts demonstrate Devolver’s commitment to delivering fresh and engaging gaming experiences across platforms, with a particular emphasis on Nintendo’s audience.
