Work on the next "final" update for Terraria is steadily progressing, as the developers continue to refine and expand the beloved sandbox game. In their latest April development blog, the team behind Terraria shared a teaser of upcoming content, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect in version 1.4.5.
One of the most notable additions is a completely revamped version of the Dungeon Entrance , also known as the Skeletron Dungeon. While details remain scarce, the preview image suggests significant visual and structural changes to this iconic area, potentially offering players a fresh experience when tackling this early-game challenge.
In addition to the dungeon overhaul, the developers announced important quality-of-life improvements for the Summoner class, addressing long-standing feedback from the community. The team acknowledged that while many players enjoy playing as Summoners, the class has often felt underpowered compared to others, particularly in terms of equipment and progression.
To address this, Terraria 1.4.5 will introduce brand-new weapon prefixes exclusively for Summoner weapons . These prefixes aim to enhance the class’s viability and provide players with more customization options for their builds. As the developers explained:
We know that many Terraria players love playing as the Summoner class, but we also recognize that it has lagged behind other classes in terms of gear and overall balance. One of the key missing elements was the lack of unique prefixes for Summoner weapons. In Terraria 1.4.5, we’re finally resolving this issue by adding a set of entirely new prefixes!
