Funcom has unveiled a captivating new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their multiplayer survival game set in the legendary "Dune" universe created by Frank Herbert. This time, the focus is on the sprawling deserts of Arrakis, offering players a glimpse into the challenges and opportunities that await them.
In Dune: Awakening , exploration is key to survival. Players must navigate the perilous dunes to gather essential materials for crafting shelters and vehicles, including combat-ready ornithopters. To make resource hunting easier, players can utilize a scanner, while deploying probes on elevated terrain will reveal critical points of interest on the map.
These points of interest range from crashed spacecraft to abandoned outposts. Reaching these locations often requires ingenuity, with tools like grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear playing a vital role. All equipment can be upgraded at your base using modular components, ensuring players are always prepared for the dangers ahead.
The early access release of Dune: Awakening is set for May 20, exclusively on PC. Console versions will follow at a later date. In the meantime, players can create their characters and test system performance using the benchmark tool available on Steam.
