While the team-based hero PvP shooter Concord seems to not have enough starpower to break into the tier-1 multiplayer scene, the developers decided to go against current trends and offer players different experience.

The game will not feature battle passes. This was confirmed by the developers from Firewalk Studios in their responses to frequently asked questions after the beta testing concluded.

One of the Firewalk employees told players: "You own Concord, Concord doesn't own you."The studio announced that players will be able to get and unlock all future maps, modes, and heroes for free. All that will be required is to play Concord without spending money.

At launch, Concord will include hundreds of cosmetic items. Players can earn these items simply by playing, completing quests, and leveling up their accounts and characters. According to the developers, it is important to them that the progression feels rewarding and provides significant rewards.

An open beta test for Concord was held in July, reaching a peak of 2,388 players online on Steam. At the time of writing, the shooter ranked 796th on the list of most wished-for games.

Concord is set to be released on August 23, 2024, for PC and PS5. The game will be priced at $40.
