Deep Silver and Reikon Games have released a free demo for Metal Eden, an adrenaline-fueled sci-fi first-person shooter that emphasizes acrobatics and intense combat. Known for their work on Ruiner, the developers bring a fresh take to the genre with this ambitious project.

The demo offers two distinct levels. The first introduces players to the game’s mechanics and sets up its narrative foundation, while the second dives deeper into combat scenarios and character progression. Players will face off against cyber-machines and environmental hazards, using unique abilities to turn the tide in their favor.

Set in the sprawling megacity of Mobius, Metal Eden follows Aska, a battle-ready android tasked with rescuing civilians from a city that was supposed to be humanity’s salvation but has become a nightmarish labyrinth.

Combat in Metal Eden is as strategic as it is action-packed. Players can harvest cores from defeated enemies to weaken shields and exploit weaknesses. Aska’s versatile skillset includes wall-running, dashing, transforming into a rolling armored sphere, and utilizing a jetpack for vertical exploration.

With its innovative mechanics and immersive setting, Metal Eden promises to deliver an unforgettable experience when it releases on May 6 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
