WB Games prepared a very pleasant surprise for all of fans of the Harry Potter universe: Hogwarts Legacy will support mods starting this Thursday. It will only work on PC, and will be perhaps the main highlight of a patch that will be available for download on both Steam and EGS.
The update will include the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit, a toolkit allowing enthusiasts to build new content, such as dungeons or quest, but also bring character edits. The well-known platform CurseForge will oversee and publish user-created mods. Hogwarts Legacy will also introduce a mod manager. This feature will allow players to find interesting mods and quickly install them.
This Thursday, several pre-approved mods will already be available, including Dungeon of Doom. This new dungeon challenges gamers to fight numerous enemies and uncover hidden secrets. However, there is one potentially uncomfortable catch we must mention: you must link your accounts with a WB Games account to enjoy mods.
The patch will also bring additional character customization options, such as new hairstyles and extra outfits. In the trailer, the developers showcased examples of mods.
Meanwhile, the second part of the adventure game is already in development. Warner Bros. Discovery has stated it is one of the corporation's top priorities for the coming years.
