The developers of Genshin Impact have released a gameplay trailer for Insan, the second new character introduced in version 5.5. This 4-star rarity hero wields polearm-based weapons and harnesses the power of the Electro element. Within the game's lore, Insan serves as the trainer of Varesa, the sole 5-star character debuting in this update.

In combat, Insan uses a massive spear-like weapon that plays a key role in one of her attacks. The trailer highlights not only her basic moves but also her more dynamic abilities. For instance, her Elemental Skill features a powerful forward lunge accompanied by an AoE Electro attack imbued with the "Night Spirit" attribute.

Her Elemental Burst is equally impressive. With a thunderous stomp, Insan shatters the ground, dealing AoE Electro damage while applying the Night Spirit effect to enemies. These skills make her a versatile addition to any team composition.

Insan and Varesa will headline the first banner of patch 5.5, alongside the return of Xian Yun. The second banner will feature reruns of Shilongen and Venti. Players can expect the 5.5 update to launch on March 26.
