The developers at Larian Studios have announced that the major seventh patch for Baldur’s Gate III, featuring full mod support, has now arrived on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Mac. This patch was first released on PC in early September.

In addition, two hotfixes, the 26th (released for PC on September 19) and the 27th, are now available on consoles and Mac as well. The 27th hotfix, which was released today across all platforms, includes numerous bug fixes related to the installation and functionality of mods. Changes were also made to the main game, including fixing how characters interact with ladders and resolving issues with character display in several cinematic cutscenes.

The developers also shared their 29th message to the Baldur’s Gate 3 community, focusing on modding. Additionally, they showcased a short, humorous animation titled Modding Mayhem, designed to highlight how fan creativity can dramatically transform the role-playing game.

Larian revealed that since the mod manager was introduced, over a thousand mods have been created, with more than 15 million total downloads. Support for Baldur’s Gate 3 won't stop with this seventh patch — future updates will bring crossplay and a photo mode. However, mod availability on consoles and Mac is still somewhat limited — only 69 mods have passed internal testing for release beyond PC so far. More mods will be released gradually in small batches. Unfortunately, not all mods will eventually make it to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Mac.
