One of the biggest games of the last year is entering a new era. Head of Larian Studio, Swen Vincke, officially announced that the last major patch for Baldur's Gate 3 will be shipped to everyone next week. He did not specify the exact date, so it may go live both next Monday, Sunday and any day in between.

One of the key features of the big patch number seven will be official mod support, which will first be available on PC and later on consoles, Vincke stated. After the update goes live, Larian Studios will hand over Baldur's Gate 3 to the players and fully focus on their next projects.

While this is the most important highlight of the patch, this is not the only thing that will be introduced. Larian prepared new cinematic endings for evil characters and additional dialogue options. Also developers worked on improving hardcore, as well as reworking split-screen mode. Additionally, Larian has promised significant performance enhancements, especially in areas with large numbers of NPCs.

This patch has been beta-tested since July on Steam, so it should come pretty polished.
