Another award ceremony has concluded, this time hosted by the British Academy at the BAFTA Games Awards 2024. The project that garnered the most awards and recognition, as well as the title of Best Game of the Year, was Baldur's Gate 3. Larian Studio took home five statuettes. 

As of April 2024, when this article was written, Baldur's Gate 3 has received the following major awards:

  • Total number of awards received, nominations and pending: 82

  • Wins: 42

  • Nominations: 30

The title from Larian Studios most frequently wins in categories such as Best Game, Best Story, Best Design and Best Role-Playing Game. Not all awards and prizes have been given out yet, and some are still awaiting results. For example, the game is nominated for the Nebula Award for Best Narrative and the Gayming Awards for Best LGBTQ Character Shadowheart and Dame Aylin.

Moreover, according to the Game of the Year Awards Tracker website, Larian's magnum opus received exactly half 50% of all awards at The Game Awards. The game's overwhelming success is well-deserved, as players from around the world have been extremely satisfied with this high-quality game on the market, which was released in a functional state without intrusive microtransactions or endless bugs.
