According to an official announcement from NetEase Games, players who use keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles while playing Marvel Rivals will have their accounts blocked.
The company considers this a violation of the rules, as users gain an unfair advantage due to the high control sensitivity and retention of aiming assistance.
The XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander and Brook Sniper adapters allow gamepad simulation of mouse and keyboard use. This gives a significant advantage in competitive modes, especially with auto-targeting activated.
NetEase explained:
“We define adapters as devices or programs that emulate gamepad control using a keyboard and mouse. This creates an imbalance in the game, especially in competitive modes.”
The company has implemented special tools that recognize the use of adapters with high accuracy. If violations are detected, the account is blocked.
Earlier we figured that the higher your FPS in Marvel Rivals, the higher your ping! This increase may not be as noticeable if your ping is relatively low. However, a sudden increase to 150 ms can significantly interfere with gameplay if your typical ping is, say, 90 ms.
This problem seems to be related to frame rate as well. What can gamers do about it, then? The best course of action for the time being is to wait for a patch and try to figure out the ideal ratio of FPS to ping. For the time being, some players advise maintaining an FPS of about 90. This may seem absurd to players of Counter-Strike 2, but for Marvel Rivals, this is the current situation.
