Mortal Combat 1 release date is close. Players are impatient, because there're officially confirmed so many interesting details and information related to the game. News about MK1 coming every day before the release. And now we know that the game will restart the storyline of the whole franchise.

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed that gamers will get acquainted with a new time branch, which was created by the Fire God Liu Kang. The canon of all other characters will also change. The most iconic character of the series, Raiden, who became an ordinary warrior, will be transformed and revived in the new game.

In MK1, players will be introduced to a young Raiden. In past episodes he was remembered as the God of Thunder and defender of the Earth Kingdom, but that has come to an end.
