In recent years, Mortal Kombat has become a place where many dreams can come true. The selection of guest characters has made it possible to create numerous dream matchups of various popular characters. The appearance of two of them in Mortal Kombat 1 could lead to some very cool consequences.
Robert Kirkman, the creator of the Invincible comic, shared that after Omni-Man appeared in the game from NetherRealm, "chats" began about a possible crossover with one of the most famous characters from The Boys, Homelander.
Both characters are parodies of Superman, and both are antiheroes in their respective universes. The Boys series is currently incredibly popular, especially considering the recent release of the fourth season.
For now, we can only cross Omni-Man and Homelander in Mortal Kombat, but if this leads to a special comic crossover, it would be very cool.
So far, Kirkman has made it clear that the discussions have not gone beyond talks, and there are no concrete plans for a crossover yet. However, that won't stop fans from hoping.
