Embark Studios, formed by former DICE developers, has released a fresh trailer for ARC Raiders — its upcoming PvPvE extraction shooter. The trailer comes just in time to promote the game’s second technical test, which kicks off on April 30. This new phase introduces console players to the action and focuses on evaluating the revamped combat, progression systems, and crossplay functionality.
As revealed by the developers, the upcoming test offers denser action with more enemies, new weapons, gadgets, and gear, plus a preview of the upcoming battle pass elements. Feedback from players will shape the game’s future, making this test a crucial step ahead of launch. Registration for the event remains open, and the test will run until May 4.
Players who participated in the previous test noted several strengths. These included a challenging entry curve, in-depth character development, and a highly detailed visual presentation. From animations to gunfire sounds, ARC Raiders exhibits impressive polish for a title still in testing.
Set on a devastated Earth overrun by ARC machines, players take the role of brave raiders who venture to the surface to scavenge resources and survive. Not only must they battle AI machines, but also rival players — and even their own teammates in this tension-filled world. ARC Raiders is expected to release later this year on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.
