At the ID@Xbox Showcase event, the team behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault premiered a fresh trailer offering a glimpse into the highly anticipated sequel. It was also confirmed that the game will debut on Xbox Game Pass on its launch day, which is expected before the end of the year.

Digital Sun, the development studio, teamed up with publisher 11 bit studios to create an isometric action-adventure RPG featuring roguelike elements. Players aim to upgrade their modest shop into a bustling enterprise by venturing into dungeons to collect rare artifacts while battling fearsome creatures.

According to Digital Sun, Moonlighter 2 expands on the original game’s foundation, introducing grander narratives and enhanced gameplay mechanics. The story follows Will, the protagonist, as he searches for his native dimension within the expansive world of Trense. During his journey, he reunites with old friends and forms bonds with new companions. His path crosses with a secretive trader who tasks him with finding powerful relics said to guide him back home.

The game’s music is crafted by acclaimed composer Chris Larkin, best known for scoring Hollow Knight Fans can expect Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault to arrive later this year on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
