New information about MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, which has drawn attention due to its visual aesthetic influenced by 1930s cartoons, has been released by Fumi Games and PlaySide Studio.

It is a first-person shooter with noir elements, where players follow private detective Jack Pepper as he investigates mysterious cases in a world filled with jazz and dynamic events. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire does not include microtransactions, as announced on the game's official X social media page, where the developers emphasized:

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will NOT contain microtransactions. We are creating a stunning single player shooter full of noir atmosphere and explosive combat scenes that we put our hearts into creating.

The developers' statement about the lack of microtransactions may seem unusual, especially for a single-player indie shooter where such practices are not as common. It seems that the authors are trying to draw attention to their game once again.

Inspired by vintage 1930s cartoons, MOUSE is a gritty, noir-fueled first-person shooter. Players are taken back to the nostalgic days of early cartoons with MOUSE's distinctive visual aesthetic, which was influenced by the allure of rubber hose animation in the 1930s.

Play as a private investigator navigating a noir city full of mobs, gangs, and other sinister characters. Use a variety of weapons, power-ups, and explosives to stop corrupt politicians from taking over a city that is rife with chaos, corruption, and vibrant energy as you embark on a quest for justice. The game puts a humorous spin on classic first-person shooter gameplay with its whimsical weaponry, unique health display, and cartoon-like enemies.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has no exact release date, but it will appear in 2025.
