With the release of Update 0.5.0, Palworld takes a massive leap forward by introducing cross-platform play across PC, Mac, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. This allows players to join forces in multiplayer sessions regardless of their device, breaking down barriers between platforms. Alongside this groundbreaking feature, the update adds a wealth of new content and quality-of-life improvements.
A key highlight is the Global Palbox system, which enables seamless Pal transfers between different worlds. To complement this, the Dimensional Pal Storage system offers vastly increased capacity, accommodating up to ten times more creatures than the standard Palbox.
Players can now enjoy enhanced customization options with the introduction of cosmetic armor, allowing them to personalize their equipment’s appearance without sacrificing performance. A new photo mode has also been added, giving users the tools to capture high-quality screenshots by hiding the UI and adjusting camera angles. Additionally, the Drafting Table mechanic lets players combine basic blueprints to create rare and powerful items.
Gameplay balance has been fine-tuned, with more predictable rewards from elemental chests, increased XP for defeating Attack Choppers, and stronger flamethrower damage. NPC behavior has been upgraded, with some characters gaining new abilities and animations for base-related tasks. New NPCs have been introduced, and the game’s interface now includes improved Pal sorting and adjustable text size options.
To mark the occasion, Pocketpair is offering Palworld at a 25% discount across all platforms for a limited time. On Steam, the game is currently priced at $8.25.
