Grinding Gear Games shared some details of the next Path of Exile 2 update. Patch 0.2.0g is in the works โ though holidays like Easter might delay the rollout a bit.
The update will focus on two major problems: bad loot drops and Corrupted Nexuses.
First up, loot. GGG is making it easier to get decent drops from campaign bosses by buffing a minimum loot quality. In other words, no more terrible luck streaks. Boss drops will be quality buffed too, and monsters possessed by Azmerian Wisps will also drop better rewards.
Next, Corrupted Nexuses. These are tough to find, and players often outpace them as they progress through waystone tiers. GGG plans to reduce how many Nexuses you need to complete to have an access to all the Atlas Passive Points. They're also making Nexuses more distinguihable.
If we speak about other aspects, the announced changes include:
- Making Pinnacle content easier to reach
- Nerfing Simulacrum difficulty
- Improving rewards and reducing random difficulty spikes in Expedition Remnants
PoE 2 launched in early access in December 2024. The game is currently buy-in only. Itโll go free-to-play when the full version launches. Update 0.2.0, which came out April 4, already added new classes, subclasses, gear, and mechanics โ and this next update is set to polish the experience even more.
