Even during the initial announcement, many viewers noted that "Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" looked terrible—like a licensed game from the PlayStation 3 era or simply a mobile game. However, there were also optimists who believed in a good outcome, especially since there haven’t been many interesting games based on the famous series.  

Now, as part of the Steam Next Fest event, the demo for "Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" has become available, putting a final end to the debates—the game turned out to be awful.  

Those who played it criticized "Kingsroad" for almost everything: outdated combat mechanics, graphics, and various game design choices that clearly point to mobile gaming. Some are calling the new "Game of Thrones" a mere port of a mobile game to PC. But even if that’s not the case, "Kingsroad" still looks like a game from 2010.  

That said, there are also positive reviews in the comments on the demo’s Steam page. However, many of them are written in a similar tone—"I really enjoyed the demo, looking forward to the full release". Whether these are bots or the same optimists who genuinely believe in a quality game at launch remains a mystery.  

"Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" will be released on PC (Steam) and mobile devices. The exact release date is still unknown.
