The latest game trailer primarily focuses on showcasing one of the bosses — Fan Ling, the Perfect Bride. In the first phase of the battle, she appears as a woman with a grotesque, tentacle-like growth, controlling what is clearly a lifeless body. But then, true to soulslike genre conventions, the second stage begins, where the character transforms into a terrifying monstrosity.

It's impossible not to notice how advanced the combat system has become. The protagonist, a pirate named Wuchang, seamlessly chains attacks and fluidly switches between different weapon types. All of this is accompanied by a dazzling display of special effects and heavy, rhythmic music—unusual for this genre of games.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game enhances its grim world with striking depth and detail: crumbling temples, smoke-filled villages, twisted creatures, and the ominous aura of an ancient curse.

A pre-order trailer has also been released, featuring the standard and deluxe editions of the game. The base version includes the game itself, two outfits, a weapon, and one skill-enhancing item. The Deluxe Edition adds extra costumes, five weapon types, and two skill boosters.

Wuchang will be released on July 24 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
