During the State of Play presentation, a trailer for The Lake House expansion for Alan Wake 2 was revealed. Unfortunately, the exact release date of the expansion remains unknown — Remedy Entertainment developers simply reminded fans that it will be released in October.

The events of the DLC will take place on the shores of Cauldron Lake, running parallel to the main campaign. Players will assume the role of Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) agent Kiran Estevez, tasked with investigating The Lake House — a research station where experiments have caused a merging of realities. No further details about the plot are available.

However, the trailer offers a chance to enjoy in-game footage. Fans of Alan Wake 2 will visit a creepy location that hides something dangerous — seemingly, the roar of this creature can be heard in the video.

The expansion will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Previously, Sam Lake mentioned that he requested one of the story scenes to be made as bloody as possible.
