After being announced for console platforms over a year ago, Shovel Knight Dig is finally making its way to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on May 15, 2025, as confirmed by developer Yacht Club Games. While an Xbox One version is included in the release lineup, there’s still no word on a PS4 port.

Coinciding with this multi-platform launch is the arrival of the free "Wicked Wish" DLC , also set to drop on the same day. The update brings a range of exciting additions and improvements, including new relics, fresh boss encounters, enhanced localization , and various bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

Originally released for Nintendo Switch, PC, and Apple Arcade , Shovel Knight Dig serves as a spin-off that focuses on vertical platforming , blending digging mechanics with fast-paced combat. Players dive deep underground using familiar moves from the Shovel Knight series, navigating procedurally generated levels filled with challenges and treasures.

With its upcoming console launch and the inclusion of free post-launch content, Shovel Knight Dig continues to expand its reach, offering both longtime fans and newcomers an engaging and polished adventure across multiple platforms.
