Sony and Team Asobi have released the launch trailer for the 3D platformer Astro Bot, set to release on September 6 for the PS5. The trailer showcases gameplay footage and battle sequences with enemies that were not seen in previous videos.

In Astro Bot, players embark on a grand cosmic adventure as part of a rescue mission to find a missing team. The main character will visit over 50 diverse planets, each filled with puzzles, dangerous enemies, and bosses.

The game will also feature various cameo characters, including Crash Bandicoot. His appearance will be integrated into the game through a special mask. Notably, the rights to the character are currently owned by Microsoft, but it seems the companies have reached an agreement. This is exciting news, especially since Crash Bandicoot was one of the most popular characters during the original PlayStation era.

Astro Bot was developed by Team Asobi, the studio also known for the platformer Astro’s Playroom.
