During the State of Play, a new trailer for the platformer Astro Bot was shown, highlighting an upcoming free update scheduled for release this fall. The key additions include five new speedrun levels, and players will be able to compete with others through leaderboards.

Additionally, players will have the opportunity to rescue ten new astrobots. Among them are a paratrooper from Helldivers 2 and the main character from Stellar Blade, Eve. The rest of the characters will be revealed at a later date.

Team Asobi's head, Nicolas Doucet, also addressed the fans, expressing his gratitude for the tremendous love and positive feedback towards Astro Bot. The developers were thrilled by the reception and enjoyed watching videos of funny moments from players’ experiences with the platformer.

Astro Bot was released on September 6 exclusively for PlayStation 5 and has received glowing reviews from the press. The franchise is expected to play a significant role in the future of Sony consoles, and the developers shared the key factors behind the game's success.
