How often do we see special rewards from game developers that aren't part of a service model? Hazelight and Josef Fares have created an Easter egg worthy of a plot straight out of Ready Player One.

In Split Fiction, the developers included a hidden and incredibly difficult level, which the community has dubbed Laser Hell. It’s highly likely that Hazelight drew inspiration from the legendary Laser Room in Resident Evil.

So, the level consists of several sections, each requiring players to dodge a massive number of lasers. If you and a partner manage to complete the level, you’ll be rewarded with a personal video greeting from Fares himself. He personally applauds you for completing the level. However, the developer couldn't resist a jab at those who might watch the level's completion on YouTube, specifically noting that the applause isn’t for them, and that it would be better if viewers actually played Split Fiction themselves.

Additionally, there was a promise that the first players to complete this level and contact Fares would win a paid trip to Hazelight's studio, where they could get a sneak peek at the studio's new game. Today, the developer confirmed that two Chinese players will be receiving this prize.

Kudos to the developers for such unique features and interactive activities!
