Mintrocket, the developer of Dave the Diver, announced the game will be released on PlayStation 5 on April 16. The game will go straight to the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium catalogues. 

It is not the only game that will enrich the PS Plus library, as Tales of Kenzera: Zau will also be available this April. 

Dave the Diver became a surprise hit and was nominated for the best independent game at The Game Awards 2023. Game director Jaeho Hwang described the game in the following way:

Dave the Diver is a unique hybrid ocean adventure that combines ocean exploration with sushi restaurant management. At the heart of the game lies the core gameplay loop, narrative, characters, and captivating mini-games.

The game was previously released on PC and Nintendo Switch, and more than 3 million copies have been sold. On Metacritic, Dave the Diver has a commendable 90 points out of 100, and now PS5 players will get the chance to play it.
