The Ascent developer Neon Giant has given fans a first glimpse at their upcoming title, tentatively named Project Impact. The reveal came in the form of several environment-focused screenshots that depict detailed and futuristic locations, though much about the game remains under wraps.

According to the developers, the game will be played from a first-person perspective and features a world that responds to player actions. Built with Unreal Engine 5, it promises more freedom and technical ambition than any of the studio’s prior work.

“We have the confidence to experiment, have fun, and truly push technology as we move into first-person. I think players will be quite surprised by what they’ll be playing, and once we show more, it’s going to be a big leap forward for the studio.”
Neon Giant sees this project as a creative evolution — and possibly its most daring one yet.
