Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, wrote on his X social network page that Helldivers 2 now has a higher limit of concurrent players on the server. Although the studio still expects the game to reach this limit, especially during weekends, it means more players will be able to play, and the waiting time to enter Helldivers 2 will become more tolerable.

After such an update, the new limit of concurrent players in Helldivers 2 on PC and PS5 is 700,000 people. It is worth mentioning that the previous limit was 450,000 people. In a series of deleted posts, Johan Pilestedt reported that the studio is cautiously increasing the limit as necessary to avoid another crash.

Nonetheless, the developers suggest that even this new limit might be exceeded in the future. Despite this, Pilestedt assures that the waiting time in queues this time will be "much more tolerable".

In the announcement tweet, Pilestedt also mentioned that some final changes would be made to the server infrastructure of Helldivers 2, which will improve the game for the large number of players expected this weekend.
