Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has officially received its 7.0 update, introducing a wave of fresh content, including a new PvE operation, extra weapons, closed lobbies for PvP, and gameplay enhancements.

The highlight of this patch is the “Exfiltration” mission, in which players are tasked with retrieving a Tech-Priest from an isolated Mechanicus structure. However, their mission won’t be easy they’ll encounter the monstrous Tyranid Trigon, a fearsome enemy capable of digging underground tunnels to summon reinforcements.

PvP receives a major upgrade with private match functionality. Players can now create closed lobbies, choose their map and mode, and modify parameters like match time and score limit.

The Prestige system also arrives in PvE. After reaching level 25, players can reset a class to level one and unlock Prestige abilities there are four total, and each one offers a 10% experience bonus.

Weaponry has seen adjustments as well: the new Inferno pistol joins the armory, while existing weapons were reworked to better fit Warhammer 40K lore. PvP matchmaking now accounts for skill level, aiming to deliver fairer battles.

Season pass holders also get exclusive customization options, such as the Space Wolves and Imperial Fists sets, along with new color palettes.
