In the latest trailer for Genshin Impact 5.5, players are introduced to Varesa, a vibrant new character with two defining passions. First, she has an intense dislike for bandits and works tirelessly to maintain order on Natlan’s trade routes. Second, and perhaps more prominently, Varesa has an insatiable love for food.

The story unfolds as Varesa oversleeps yet another training session with her mentor, Insan. Rushing to catch up, she stumbles upon a local festival where she accidentally participates in a burger-eating contest. The first bite sends her into a dreamlike state, where she imagines herself soaring through the skies on a giant hamburger.

“As the theory goes, proper rest, adequate warm-up, and a full stomach are essential preparations for any competition. But to her trainer’s dismay, Varesa never quite manages this—she sleeps until noon, is perpetually late, and devours everything in her path.”

In addition to the delightful trailer, developers have confirmed that Varesa will be featured in the banners for Genshin Impact 5.5, set to release on March 26, 2025. Judging by her charisma and quirky personality showcased in the video, she’s already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated characters of the update.
