This was reported by dataminer Tyler McVicker. Hints about HLX—the alleged codename for Half-Life 3—were found in the files of recent updates for Dota 2 and Deadlock. According to McVicker, Valve's development of the game is in its final stages, as evidenced by factors such as the optimization of character AI and the addition of FSR 3 upscaling technology.
Additionally, the project has reportedly already gone through Valve's traditional testing phase—via relatives and close friends of the developers. This also adds optimism, as the canceled Left 4 Dead 3 did not survive this stage, and Team Fortress 2 completely changed its concept.

Meanwhile, according to another insider, Gabe Follower, Valve plans to release a new VR headset, Deckard, by the end of 2025. The SteamOS-based device will be fully autonomous thanks to a large battery and an extensive list of features that will allow the headset to function as a full-fledged PC. However, the price for such a device will be correspondingly high—$1200.
