Steam now warns users about Early Access games that haven't received an update for a long time. It will be easier for users to immediately understand how actively the developers are working on the project. The corresponding note will appear if the game has not received updates for more than a few months.

Some games stay in early access for years, receiving regular updates based on user feedback, reaching the release in the form the community wanted them to be. When other projects are simply abandoned by developers, but not taken off the market.

With major players still competing against one another over decades, the gaming industry is constantly changing. However, as technology advances, new trends and battlegrounds appear. We can predict the crucial area where, presumably, everyone will be competing based on the most recent reports from different media.

This category includes integration with a wider ecosystem and portable gaming. It's evident that the Nintendo Switch was the first to pioneer this field, and that a second revolution was sparked by Valve's Steam Deck. However, it appears that these projects won't reach their full potential until very soon.
