Supermassive Games has quietly canceled its unannounced Blade Runner game, Time To Live. According to Insider Gaming, the project was scrapped in late 2024 during early development, following issues with rights holders Alcon Entertainment.

Blade Runner: Time To Live was planned as a cinematic third-person action-adventure set in the universe of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic. The game followed So-Lange, a rogue Nexus-6 replicant mysteriously surviving beyond her expected lifespan. Set in New Zurich in 2065, players would hunt down a rebel leader only to be betrayed and stranded in hostile territory.

The game promised philosophical storytelling, memory-based progression, and immersive investigation tools. Developers aimed for a 10–12 hour campaign with branching dialogue and a strong narrative core, staying true to the Blade Runner tone.

The title had been in pre-production since September 2024 with a planned 2027 release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and future consoles. The estimated budget was around $45 million, including $9 million for motion capture and casting — but excluding costs like licensing and music. A team behind The Quarry was handling development.

Ultimately, creative disagreements with Alcon Entertainment led to its cancellation. Supermassive’s last title was The Casting of Frank Stone, released in late 2024.
