According to information from the publication BFM, Ubisoft has created a special team to monitor the situation on social media and, if necessary, counter aggressive gamers, including through legal measures.
At the same time, Ubisoft is already using bots on social networks: players have noticed increased activity under posts related to Shadows in recent days. Recently created accounts are leaving comments praising the game, which are almost identical in meaning and content. A similar situation was observed before the release of Star Wars: Outlaws.
Within the company, employees are advised not to publicize their online presence and avoid mentioning that they work for Ubisoft — this reduces the likelihood of becoming a target for haters. Those who do face aggression are promised psychological support. "Unlike previous situations, everything is much more serious now", shared an anonymous company employee.
The release of Assassin's Creed: Shadows is scheduled for March 20.
