Riot Games has confirmed that the anthem for Worlds 2024, one of the largest esports tournaments in the world, will be performed by members of Linkin Park. For both Riot Games and Linkin Park this is an awesome collaboration, a definite win-win situation. Earlier, the League of Legends developers were dropping many hints which now found their confirmation.

Linkin Park debuted the song, titled "Heavy is the Crown", during their concert in Hamburg, and it will be officially released online on September 24, accompanied by an animated music video. The track will also be included in the band's upcoming album From Zero, set to release on November 15.

The song will also be featured in the second season of Arcane. At the end of 2021, Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda was invited to the premiere of the animated series because of his appreciation for the League of Legends universe.

Linkin Park announced their return in early September, with Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara as the new vocalist and Colin Brittain joining as the drummer.
