Riot Games shared details about Aurora, the newest champion in League of Legends. The developers showcased her gameplay and published a description of her abilities.

Aurora is a mid-range mage with long-distance attacks, suitable for solo lane play. She has a high mobility and the ability to become invisible which makes her a great assassin.

Initially, Aurora was introduced through the visual novel "The Spirit of Hearth Home." She is one of the few friends of Ornn, who forged a magical wand for her. Aurora is the first LoL character with autism. Born in Freljord, she can observe both the material and spiritual worlds. According to the developers, she has a gift for noticing things that others do not.

Aurora will be available on the test server after June 26. Her release on the main client will coincide with patch 14.14, which is set to be released on July 17. The final list of patch changes will be published on the official website a day before the release.
